Elevate Your Sock Game with Magic Socks {Giveaway}

There are two things that people are self conscious about when asked to remove their socks in someone’s home 1. Foot odor and 2. Holey socks. The MP Team has a solution to the first (and kind of to the second when you think about it). Magic Socks are “the world’s best ordorless socks,” they’re infused with silver, copper and zinc which have antibacterial properties and keep the socks from getting that dirty gym sock smell that everyone has tried to forget from high school phys ed class.

As the warmer months are upon us and many of us look to the great outdoors as our gym (hiking, biking, walking, etc) the idea of sweaty, smelly feet is even more concerning, so having a solution seems like – well – magic.

But how magical are these socks? Do they really work?

I tested them out for 7 days of normal use (no crazy marathons or anything) to see if they would start to smell. Although I don’t recommend going a week without washing your socks (nor I I plan to again), I was pleasantly surprised with the results. My findings are below. (If you’re just here for the giveaway, keep on scrolling.)

Plant-Based and Personalized Vegan Meals

I received a VegReady sample free of charge for the purposes of testing, however all opinions are my own.

Even though I’m not vegan or vegetarian (here’s the difference if you don’t know), I try to have at least one meet-free meal per day. So when the folks at VegReady offered to send me one of their snacks to try out, I gladly accepted.

VegReady provides vegan meals that are healthy and ready to eat. They offer a variety of options and don’t require refrigeration which makes them easy to take with you. Coming in 2018, you can order meals matched to your DNA.

I received a Mango & Jalapeno Quinoa Snack to test out. VegReady products are ready to eat, so you literally just open it up and dig in. Continue reading

Smarter Keys {Product Review}

I was complaining to Brad about how many keys I have. When my office moved, I went from two keys for work that I barely ever had to use, to three keys that I use every day. Then we moved into the shoebox apartment while the house is being built and ended up with a fob, apartment key and storage unit key. Frustrating.

Overall a handful of keys didn’t bother me until I started pulling them out of my purse and putting them back and trying not to scratch one of the three screens in my purse.

Then the folks at Key Smart sent me their compact solution to bulky key rings. Continue reading

Cat(s) Vs. Mouse: Vox Box Review

I felt very special the day that a bright yellow box showed up for me the cats. This whole pile of packages was addressed to me.

Influenster sent Holmes and Watson a pet-focused Temptations cat treat box with the Snack Mouse toy. You can see the unboxing video and a little about how my cats reacted to it on my YouTube channel here. Continue reading

In-a-Pinch Glucose Meter: TRUE2go

This is NOT a sponsored post.

TRUE2Go, from Rite Aid, saved my bacon this Easter. We had an early Saturday morning making, so we packed up what we thought we’d need for the next 36-ish hours on Friday night. For me that included two extra pods, even though I expected to be home by pod change time on Sunday.

Whenever you pack for even one night away from home, never trust your memory on the number of test strips that you have in your purse. If you’re anything like me, you’ll be wrong.

On Saturday when I went to test and bolus for lunch, I realized that I had four strips in my vial. I check my blood sugar 8-10 times a day and holidays or eating out can really screw me up causing me to test more often. Four strips were not going to last me through the next day. Continue reading
