It’s been awhile since I reviewed a Vox Box, but never fear the folks at Influenster didn’t forget about me. I recently received an Ultimate Straight Vox Box complimentary from Influenster to test out.
My box contained the whole Ultimate Straight system from L’Oreal Paris, the “system” consists of:
- Ultimate Straight straightening shampoo
- Ultimate Straight straight boosting pre-conditioner
- Ultimate Straight straightening conditioner
- Ultimate Straight straight perfecting balm
I’ve been using this system for a few weeks now and really like it. I do the first three steps in the shower, I have to say that it’s my first experience with pre-conditioner. Sometimes I forget to leave it in for 2-3 minutes before rinsing.
Although nothing is perfect, this Ultimate Straight system has stood up very well to the humidity of the past week.
My hair is in general naturally everything, parts of it stay straight, other parts wave and yet other parts will curl. When the weather conditions are right, I can have a head full or frizzy curls and then as with Ohio, the next day, perfectly straight with little effort. I prefer to wear my hair straight, so the L’Oreal’s system is very helpful!
Some of the other things I like about Ultimate Straight are that it only takes a little of each product so after a few weeks, my bottles are all basically as full as when they arrived. The hair products smell good which is a bonus and the balm features a heat protector, that protects my hair from the blow dryer and flat iron.
