The festivities

Most years we go to an event or two for the Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement. People from all over the country converge on our little metro area, book up our hotel rooms and pack our restaurants. It’s a $300,000 big deal for the area.

I’ve lived in this area for better than 10 years and have NEVER gone to the Football Hall of Fame. A few years ago, my grandmother (current age of 85) went to the HOF with her sister before visiting us.

I’m lame. But I’m a girl so I have an excuse not to like football.

But back to the festivities…

For some strange reason the schedule this year seemed extremely inconvenient to those who work.  Very few weekend activities, which in years past it seemed there were more.

Maybe we’re just becoming real adults with schedules?
