Throwback Thursday: Meet Sally

Last August I got Sally. She’s my dress form and she’s got great style…

She’s been a great addition to my refashioning, and if I you sew and ever have the opportunity to get such a steal on one of these, definitely do it!

There are tutorials for DIY dress forms on the internet that look great! I tried the Duct Tape Dress form and it turned into a disaster. Let me know if you’ve successfully made your own dress form!

Here’s the story of how I got her and the sweet lady who told me to name her!

Looking Back: The First Home Experience

In true #ThrowbackThursday fashion, I’m re-sharing the one time that I had “the wedding dress experience”…with a house.

The Wedding Dress Experience  – July 31, 2013

Throwback Thursday: Play Ball!

In the spirit of #ThrowbackThursday and the Indians game that I’m attending with my coworkers today (my 3rd ever Indians game)… I’m looking back to my very first Cleveland Indians baseball game.

When I wrote this post  just over two years ago, someone actually asked if it was the first baseball game I had ever attended in my life!

Take me out to the ball game

May 24, 2012

I had the opportunity to attend my first Cleveland Indians’ game on Sunday. The sad thing is, I’ve lived in Northeast Ohio for more than 12 years and had yet to see a Tribe game (it was also my first MLB game).

In fact, my first visit to Progressive Field was for a PRSA event at the Terrace Club in April.

My friend’s dad received four tickets and a parking pass for Sunday’s game against the Marlins. So they invited the K-couple to join them (fun fact: in just over a year, they’ll also be a K-couple). And here is where I stop you. You can fill maybe a teaspoon with the entirety of my sports knowledge. I hear that our seats were pretty good, they were in the View Box.
