At the end of every summer I buy clearance flip flops for the next year. I can be confident that they won’t go out of style because flip flops have been a summer staple since I was a child. Instead of getting the $1-$2 foam and rubber flip flops of years past, I decided to get a couple more quality pairs.
Last night we went to Target to pick up some things for our vacation and I spent quite awhile sifting through the shoe department clearance. I have to say, I have never seen such a disorganized department at Target before! But with the discounted sandals, I can’t complain too much!
I bought three pairs:
The green pair was actually from the kids’ department, but they fit great and were 70% off! The other two pairs came out to about 50% off.
I’m not waiting until next summer to wear them though. I’m packing them in my suitcase and taking them on vacation! I might also be wearing a pair today…. Continue reading →
So of course I was psyched to find out that Emerald was the Pantone color of the year… also more psyched to find a new pair of “emerald slippers” to add to my collection of green shoes (my collection also includes emerald flats that were $2 and my dream green wedding shoes).
I was out thrifting with my friend this weekend for a project that I’ll let you in on soon and I stumbled across a bunch of new, tags-still-on Mossimo pumps (sold at Target). The emerald ones called to me… and were in my size for a whopping $6. It was love.
A little research later found that the Mossimo Viveca Blingy Heel in emerald is on clearance at Target for $23.08 and originally sold for $32.99. I’d say that’s a thrift-score if I ever saw one!
I paired them with black dress pants and a white top at the office on Monday.
I’m linking up with Sharon and Tara to share my awesome find.
Ever come across a deal that you just have to tell someone about?
That happened yesterday… but let’s rewind and put it in context. Several months ago, I got two great dresses from Target on a BOGO sale and spent $19.99 for two dresses that were each originally $19.99 a piece. It was a good deal and I love my dresses that I got for 50% 0ff… even though they look completely shapeless and unflattering when thrown on the bed for a quick pic.
Yesterday, I stopped at Marc’s on my way home for white chocolate to make Brad’s birthday dessert (Baily’s Irish Cream Cheese Cake… yum). I also needed duct tape, so I headed through the closeout section and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a dress that I knew was hanging in my closet. The clothing section of Marc’s was filled with Target clothes, including the dress above in green. It was market at $2.99. That’s 85% off of the original price! I also picked up another dress for $2.99 and t-shirt for $1.99. Along with my duct tape and white chocolate chips, my shopping total didn’t even meet the original $19.99 for one dress!
These are also shapeless when thrown on the bed for pictures:
I’m linking up (late) with Sharon and Tara to share this deal with Look What I Got!
On two separate occasions, I signed up on Facebook pages to receive something free.
Mioreleased two new flavors: lemonade and blueberry lemonade. Already being a Mio user, I got excited when they let Facebook fans request to try a “sample” of one of the flavors. I requested a blueberry lemonade. Six to ten days later, I had a full-size blueberry lemonade in the mailbox.
Target(or maybe it was Target Style) allowed their Facebook fans to request a free beauty bag with product samples. I jumped on the opportunity to try some different skincare problems and get some bonus coupons. When my Target beauty bag arrived, it was better than I had expected! The bag alone was worth the time spent submitted my request. Continue reading →
