July in Photos

Hello and Happy August! The summer is flying by.

July was another busy month in a string of busy months. Other priorities (life offline) have kept me from blogging as often as I’d like, so I figured I’d catch you all up in photos.

Fun with friends

We visited with our good friends who live out on the East Side and I got to meet their horse, Annette the Clydesdale.

We wandered visited Ohio’s wine country with those same friends and discovered new favorites from Hundley Cellars, Niagara and Harvest Red.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch… Continue reading

Vacation Wrap Up – The Florida Chapters

I’ve been back from vacation for over awhile now and have barely shared any of it! Let’s fix that.

This particular trip included what I’ve broken up into two parts: The Florida Chapters and The Cruise Chapters

Brad and I got up very early in the morning and flew down to Tampa on Friday.

Its far too early to have to be awake. #airplaneswaitfornowoman

We picked up our rental car at the airport then we spent the day with our friends who moved to the area in May (the lovely couple whose wedding we photographed).

Our first stop was lunch at Tijuana Flats. We were famished having not had food since 5:00am. If you have the chance to visit a Tijuana Flats, definitely do it! They make good burritos and I hear the nachos are also good. The unique thing about this restaurant is their hot sauce bar. With everything from mild to burn off your taste buds, there’s a sauce for everyone.

Then we got a tour of the range and store where our friend works. I’d say that every vacation should start with a double date at a shooting range… right? Continue reading

Weekend In Photos

Brad was in his friend’s wedding on Saturday. The wedding was the ultimate fall-theme wedding and was beautiful! It was full of reds, oranges, leaves and burlap. I’ve seen some outdoorsy/fall weddings that were over the top, this one had the perfect balance of fall, outdoor and traditional.

In Photos Lately

Life’s been busy with the usual stuff.

This weekend we had beautiful weather. It decided to be summer again. We had a summer work event for Brad’s company the had us playing games at Dave and Buster’s on Saturday afternoon. We discovered the fun that is four-person air hockey and had some fun with skeeball, which is probably my favorite arcade game.

After the event, we were invited to go swimming and hang out with some of Brad’s coworkers so we spent the afternoon and evening in and by the pool.

My company does a tool drive for Habitat for Humanity every August and had a donation from a client arrive on Monday. We were light in the office on Monday anyway and the shipment arrived just before noon. The driver asked for some guys to come unload the truck… He got three petite women. We unloaded the shipment that contained 700 pounds work of heavy duty tools. Even though it was all brand new, our hands were black when we were done. Continue reading

3rd Anniversary: Waterfalls

For our third wedding anniversary over Memorial Day weekend, Brad and I wanted to take a little trip. We started looking for destinations that weren’t terribly far or expensive but would still be fun.

Like magic, a Groupon Getaways email landed in my inbox.

“How about Niagara Falls?’ I asked Brad.

“That could be fun,” he said. “I haven’t been there since I was a kid.”

“Me either.”

So off to Niagara Falls we went. Continue reading
