Massage Heights Review

I was provided with free services from Massage Heights in return for a blog review. All opinions are my own.

Massage can alleviate back pain, headaches and a variety of other issues beyond just relaxation. However, most people who get massages do so in order to relax.

Which is why I was thrilled to accept the offer from Massage Heights to review their services at one of their Cleveland area retreats.

I had an appointment for a one-hour massage and foot scrub on a rainy Saturday morning at the Massage Heights location at Crocker Park.

One of a Kind {Million Dollar Diamond Event}

Sponsored Post.

Brad’s and my anniversary had me remembering a lot about our wedding and the planning that went into it. For our 5th anniversary dinner, I wore my wedding shoes and jewelry. It was a special occasion. The thing from our wedding that we both wear every day are our rings.

When Howard’s Jewelry Center told me they were doing a designer jewelry event for people to customize their own pieces, I thought about the rings I wear every day. My rings aren’t “designer” but they are custom. Much like people will be able to create at Howard’s during their Million Dollar Diamond Event (June 17-25), we picked the diamonds for both my engagement and wedding rings, selected the settings and had them made. My rings are a very classic style that we could probably gotten many places, but mine had to be custom made since my fingers are super small.

It’s nice to know that what I wear every day is really one of a kind, made just for me.

Unique Jewelry Gift Ideas

Sponsored post.

If you’ve been a reader for awhile, you know that I like giving old things new life, particularly by refashioning them. Which is why Howard’s Jewelry Center, a Cleveland area chain, was a good fit for this post. Howard specializes in unique, one-of-a-kind refurbished jewelry, the one-of-a-kind jewelry that would make a great gift for the person on your list who you want to give a little bling.

Howard and the team are GIA-certified, which lets you know that you’re getting genuine, thoroughly graded diamonds. I think when it comes to refashioning fine jewelry, the professionals are the ones to go with. And the folks at Howard’s pride themselves on providing quality jewelry at great prices.

Although I think refurbished jewelry would make an excellent gift because the jewelry was given new life and already has a history, they also have completely new pieces to choose from. Here are just a few of my favorite pieces from the various collections at Howard’s:

HowardsJewelryCenter.com also has color-specific collections, perfect for someone who has an obsessive love of a certain color… the way I love green. As a plus, the halo-style setting (available in all the shops) is a classic style. The collections are titled: Blue Mood, Go Green, Red Hot and Hot Chocolate. Continue reading

Weekend Wrap Up: Bricklaying, Cleveland Flea & House Update

We had an interesting and fun weekend, it involved bricklaying, food trucks, flea market browsing, upcycled awesomeness and a trip to the house.

Saturday morning started with the Bricklayer 500 regionals at St. Mary’s Cement Terminal. One of my clients was involved with the event. This particular event is a speed bricklaying competition.

The masons competing were all very talented craftsmen. I got to be a little crafty myself and adhered stone on lath. Continue reading

Birthday Weekend Wrap-Up

My birthday may have fallen on a short day, but the only thing it was short of was time. Thanks to my wonderful husband, I had a fantastic birthday weekend.

Friday

I stayed at work late on Friday to say goodbye to the woman who hired me and until Friday was my supervisor. She has moved on to new opportunities and created a few of them for me as well. Brad ended up ordering Chinese for me to pick up on the way home for dinner.

When I got home, there were roses waiting for me and Stella Artois in the fridge. Stella + sesame chicken + the couch made for a nice low-key evening.

Saturday

Being the horrible birthday girl that I am, I had planned to run errands on Saturday. Brad had other plans. He treated me to breakfast and let me squeeze in on errand before treating me to a surprise afternoon.

I was instructed to dress nicely and wear comfortable shoes. Our afternoon birthday adventure included three official stops and a Starbucks break. Continue reading
