New Year. New Post.

Look who’s a magician! I am. I managed to disappear for the rest of the year! I may not have been living online, but I have been living offline.

2016 was a busy year and the end of it was especially so. Since I last posted I traveled to three different states, won an award, closed the books on a year of business and hosted family for the holidays.

2016 Theme

The theme of 2016 for me was travel. I got so many comments this year like, “Seems like you’ve been traveling a lot lately,” “Where are you off to next?” and so on. I returned to a lot of places I’ve been before, to see family, visit clients and attend trade shows. This year felt a little extra special travel wise because I added several new states to my “I’ve visited” map. Check it out. Continue reading

Coffee At Luke’s

What happens when two Gilmore Girls fans, who happen to work in marketing, go the Luke’s Diner (Pour Cleveland)?

They evaluate the event of course.

My friend from college, Kaitlin, and I walked over to Pour Cleveland yesterday for Netflix’s Luke’s Diner pop up. Netflix worked with 250 coffee shops around the country to “turn them into” Luke’s Diner for the morning. Ohio had seven locations and here in Cleveland we had three.

When Kaitlin and I arrived at 9:45 a.m., the line was down Euclid Ave, stretching across the entrances to the 5th Street Arcades. Continue reading

Massage Heights Review

I was provided with free services from Massage Heights in return for a blog review. All opinions are my own.

Massage can alleviate back pain, headaches and a variety of other issues beyond just relaxation. However, most people who get massages do so in order to relax.

Which is why I was thrilled to accept the offer from Massage Heights to review their services at one of their Cleveland area retreats.

I had an appointment for a one-hour massage and foot scrub on a rainy Saturday morning at the Massage Heights location at Crocker Park.

One of a Kind {Million Dollar Diamond Event}

Sponsored Post.

Brad’s and my anniversary had me remembering a lot about our wedding and the planning that went into it. For our 5th anniversary dinner, I wore my wedding shoes and jewelry. It was a special occasion. The thing from our wedding that we both wear every day are our rings.

When Howard’s Jewelry Center told me they were doing a designer jewelry event for people to customize their own pieces, I thought about the rings I wear every day. My rings aren’t “designer” but they are custom. Much like people will be able to create at Howard’s during their Million Dollar Diamond Event (June 17-25), we picked the diamonds for both my engagement and wedding rings, selected the settings and had them made. My rings are a very classic style that we could probably gotten many places, but mine had to be custom made since my fingers are super small.

It’s nice to know that what I wear every day is really one of a kind, made just for me.

Unique Jewelry Gift Ideas

Sponsored post.

If you’ve been a reader for awhile, you know that I like giving old things new life, particularly by refashioning them. Which is why Howard’s Jewelry Center, a Cleveland area chain, was a good fit for this post. Howard specializes in unique, one-of-a-kind refurbished jewelry, the one-of-a-kind jewelry that would make a great gift for the person on your list who you want to give a little bling.

Howard and the team are GIA-certified, which lets you know that you’re getting genuine, thoroughly graded diamonds. I think when it comes to refashioning fine jewelry, the professionals are the ones to go with. And the folks at Howard’s pride themselves on providing quality jewelry at great prices.

Although I think refurbished jewelry would make an excellent gift because the jewelry was given new life and already has a history, they also have completely new pieces to choose from. Here are just a few of my favorite pieces from the various collections at Howard’s:

HowardsJewelryCenter.com also has color-specific collections, perfect for someone who has an obsessive love of a certain color… the way I love green. As a plus, the halo-style setting (available in all the shops) is a classic style. The collections are titled: Blue Mood, Go Green, Red Hot and Hot Chocolate. Continue reading
